Questions & Logistics

Do you only photograph dogs?

No. I am a pet photographer, not just a dog photographer. Whether it’s a cat, a horse, or any other animal that is part of your family, I’m in. Every species has a different vibe, and I’m equipped to handle all of them.

What if my dog needs to stay on a leash?

Most dogs actually need a leash, even in the studio. I shoot with them on for safety and control, then remove them in post-production. You will never know it was there.

Does my dog need to be well-trained?

While basic obedience is certainly helpful, it's not a requirement. I don't need a sit or a stay to get the shot. I work with whatever energy they bring—I promise your dog isn't going to be the one that finally stumps me.

Can I be in the photos?

While the focus is primarily on the animals, I’m happy to include you in a few portraits. These are usually more about the connection and interaction you have with your pet rather than a traditional family portrait.

How involved do I need to be?

In the studio, you are my most important assistant because you know exactly what makes them tilt their head. On location, I still need you nearby to help keep them engaged and happy while I handle the technical side and the timing.

How do we handle senior pets or mobility issues?

We move at their pace. Whether we are in the studio or on-location, I keep the setup low-impact and comfortable. If they can’t stand for long or need extra breaks, we build that into the time. The goal is to capture them comfortably.

What if the weather is terrible?

We move the date. I am looking for very specific conditions for outdoor work. If the sky is flat or it's pouring, we wait for a day that actually does the work justice. There is no fee for rescheduling due to weather.

Are digital files included?

Yes. Any image you purchase as a print or a wall piece comes with the matching high-resolution digital file.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. These commissions are an investment. I offer flexible plans so you can get the art you actually want without having to settle.

Cancellations & Refunds

Because I only take a limited number of commissions each year, your retainer is non-refundable to protect the time reserved specifically for you. If you need to reschedule, I ask for at least 48 hours' notice, and I will be happy to move your outing to the next available date.

However, in the heartbreaking event that a pet passes away before we are able to meet, all payments made will be fully refunded. Some things are more important than a business policy.
